Description of other results / project impact

The project will contribute directly to reaching the following program indicator: Set up new services or new components within already existing services that provide integrated assistance to children and young people at risk (through the project there will be created new components within already existing services, namely 4 multipurpose workshops in 4 residential care units that will give at least 66 children the opportunity to develop their personal skills).
A the same time, by means of its objectives and activities the project contributes to achieving the following expected results of the program:

• improve the independent living skills – by setting up the multipurpose workshops for the development of personal skills;
• increase access to adapted / integrated services adressed to children at risk – by encouraging non formal education (setting up the multipurpose workshops for the development of personal skills);
• prevent and reduce juvenile delinquency and social isolation determined by exposure to deviant social models – by means of the awareness campaign on juvenile delinquency and street children; addressed to (school) children from residential care units subordinated to Prahova County Department for Social Assistance and Child Protection, it will be organized in 20 schools and 8 residential care units.

The objective to be met through this activity is to prevent the occurrence of these deviant behaviors with (school) children in residential care, and to inform them about the negative consequencesof these behaviors, as well as about the services available to this category of children at risk.
• professionals with more knowledge and better abilities involved in activities with children at risk - the project aims to ensure the specialized personnel that will provide appropriate services for delinquent children, street children and for their parents; thus, the personnel employed at the Centre of intervention, counselling and support for children at risk will have the necessary basic professional competencies (social workers, psychologists, a legal adviser), and they will participate to professional development courses on delinquent children and street children.
The project also specifies ways to increase the motivation of beneficiaries and their willingness to take part in the project activities (rewards / prizes for the beneficiaries that participate to certain activties or for those with a constant presence in the project activities, including organizing an action to promote talented children – the Festival of Young Talents).

At the same time, the project encourages volunteer work. Thus, the students of a well-known university from Prahova county are those who will provide the school tutoring activities. They will ensure the tutoring sessions in three curricular areas (Maths, Romanian and English).
