„My participation in this project is a meaningful experience, as I am impressed by the good, efficient manner in which teachers, volunteers, educators, etc. carry on the project activities.

School tutoring activities, drawing / painting, guitar, practical skills courses create the conditions for both the total involvement of beneficiaries, and for the project objectives to be reached. From my point of view, we can call this project Children’s Project because it is entirely theirs.”

suzana marinAs a partner in the project entitled „We educate the present , we build the future”, implemented by Prahova County Department for Social Assistance and child Protection, and as a result of our common interest in providing an efficient education to young people at risk, the main aspect that Prahova County Centre of Culture has focussed on is that of the complementary education through art.

Thus, by teaching courses on music, theatre balet, arts and practical skills, painting, etc. for the beneficiaries in the residential care units included in the project, the following objectives will be reached: to develop their emotional intelligence; to stimulate their sensory channels; to develop their ability to express themselves in faster and easier ways; to shape their personality by means of aesthetic values and by teaching them to incorporate beautiful things in their activity and in their lives; to trigger the complex processes of assimilating and affective integrating – on both individual and collective level, of aesthetic values; to develope their visual perceptions and representations, of their creative imagination; to stimulate their creativity and group communication.

Whether we choose methods of formal , non-formal education, or whether we choose informal education, activities tfor the development of independent living skills create the opportunities children and young people ned in order to become reliable, independent adults.”
