Carrying out the rehabilitation works at the location of the Centre of intervention, counseling and support for children at risk from Ploiesti

On January 4 2017 repair, rehabilitation and remodelling works have started at the space where the Centre of intervention, counseling and support for children at risk will have its location.

These works consist in repairs and finishing, washable paint painting of the walls, parquet flooring changing, tile repairs, panel PVC partition, one – way mirror installation.

The centre will be located in Ploiesti 16 Cometului street, in a building that has been left in conservation since 2013. Previously, this building was the location of a family – type residential unit for young people and also Ciresarii”Emergency Receiving Centre from Ploiesti was temporarily relocated there.

After the completion of remodeling works, the new building will provide spaces that are appropriate for the cabinets of psychologists and social workers, spaces for group work and waiting areas for beneficiaries.

The Centre of Intervention, Counseling and Support for Children at Risk is a structure dealing with the specialized intervention and investigation in cases of street children and juvenile delinquents (identification, emergency intervention, carrying out the social investigations, the assessment and specialized counseling of children and parents, deciding the enforcement of protective measures – whenever necessary – monitoring the children after their integration / reintegration in their biological / extended family, etc.).
This structure was set up and it has been providing specialized services for the two above – mentioned categories of beneficiaries since September 2015, and the activities have been carried out in two spaces made available at the headquarters of Prahova County Department for Social Assistance and Child Protection.

The Centre of Intervention, Counselling and Support for Children at Risk has a personnel scheme made up of 10 positions (all filled in at the moment), i.e.: 1 head of centre, 5 social workers, 2 psychologists,1 legal adviser, 1 driver.
